Good morning! Well I wish I could say it was a beautiful sunny day, but it is clouded over. Thank goodness we don't have snow here, as there is so many other places that have more than their share. Where I live, if we get more than 10cm (4") of snow, the city pretty much shuts down. We simply don't have the equipment to clear the city streets fast enough, unless of course they prepare for it when they start getting snow warnings. There are signs of spring here, the daffodils arestarting to poke their heads out of the ground, and the leafs are starting to bud on the trees.
Recently I have been putting together a preemie quilt for my local guild. It is a little smaller than the pattern called for, but it was the only way the blocks would all fit together. I have also been working on some neeldepoint stockings, that are about 6" tall. I had enjoyed making two of them before Christmas, that I decided to keep on going and make 5 more for next Christmas. I also have been working on a couple of table runners, I just need to make several dozen prairie points, and then I can put them together and quilt/bind. My most recent finished project was a Mug Rug. I was trying to get it done to enter into Madame Samm's Mug Rug Contest, but with everything going on with mom, I just wasn't able to find sewing time. Oh well.... I sent a picture off to her anyway, cause it was just too cute. I joined a mug rug swap and it will be one of two that I send off.
Well if I can ever figure out how to insert pictures, I will post one of the mug rug and another of the stockings. I think I need another cup of tea....
Until then, Happy Stitching!
PS Looks like I got the pictures to load.... yippee!
